First Oxford Trip

We had a great time in Oxford today! I got to go to Anna Leigh's shower for a little while and we got to stroll around the square. Not only was it a beautiful day but we saw Morgi working at Uptown and all kinds of people on the square. Addie did great! Here are some pictures showing the progression of the day:
We got back home around 5 so that Andrew could play with his new toy; his golf net. Well, he played with that for about an hour and then I decided I was going to pick up some dinner. So...I called in food to Soulshine. (Most of you know that it is 1 mile from our house.) I leave the house for literally 5 minutes because my food was ready when I went to pick it up. I walk back in the house to Andrew completely freaking out! Addie had pooped "EVERYWHERE!" Bless his heart, he couldn't figure out how to get her outfit off without getting the poop on her. It was an explosive diaper I will admit, but getting the poop everywhere could have easily been avoided. So, before I could enjoy my lovely meal that I picked up, I had to bathe my child! Oh how our lives have changed!

Looking back

I want to rewind to Andrew's surprise birthday trip this past July for a minute. I saved up money for several months so that he wouldn't see any money leave the bank. We had reservations at the Dunleith in Natchez for a wonderful 4th of July weekend. It was so exciting for me to sneak around and plan all of this stuff. Keep in mind that I was about 2 1/2 months pregnant and VERY sick. My vivid memories of this trip do not match the excitement of planning it. I remember not being able to eat anything, drinking Sierra Mist religiously, and being close enough to the toilet to name it. Not one picture was taken on that trip. I am trying to forget how terrible pregnancy was for me but the truth is...I can't! I literally took a Zofran the morning I delivered. I was sick for a solid 9 months!

With all of those great memories behind us, I wouldn't take any of it back. Addie is such a blessing! She really is the most incredible little thing. It is amazing to think that while I was going through all of that, she was developing. While she lays on top of me, I just look at her and think about how special she is to Andrew and me.

Always interesting!

Aunt Morgi came to visit the other day. Unfortunately I did not get a picture of them but Morgi caught a couple of good ones.
This is Addie's new obsession. It has lights at the top and plays fun music AND soft nature music! She just got it today but already loves it.
While Andrew is out of town, of course something goes wrong...I noticed that there was water on the floor in front of the sink tonight. So, I wipe it up and smell it naturally because I thought it was Charlie. It didn't smell like a dog "accident" so I wiped it up thinking that it was leftover mop water from Johnnie today. Well, I come back a little later and there is more water there. I opened up the cabinets under the sink and yep...there is water all underneath there. The saga continues...Dad is coming over after Sean's basketball game to fix it or see if I need a plumber. Hooray for being a grown up? Glad Mom and Dad are in the same town...just saying!

While I am at school

I think Addie and Nonny have had fun during the day! :)

Better Monday really is better!

Addie and I have thoroughly enjoyed my day off! Here is a picture of Addie with Toddy at the pool today.
We were just hanging out right after a feeding, modeling her new outfit.
Stretching as usual...

Easter

My lovely family on Easter (in Macon)
Addie was so worn out that she slept from 9:00 pm to 6:45 am!
Our first family picture, which is not great...we will try again! We weren't patient enough to take more though.

First week back

I survived my first week back at school! I seriously wouldn't be able to do it without Andrew's mom keeping Addie though. I know she is in good hands. I can't tell you how great it is to be back in a routine and with my sweet kiddos at school. But you better believe that when that school bell rings, I get my stuff together and high-tail it out of there!

School Easter parties were today and my class gave me a gift card to Aqua Day Spa. I can't wait to get a massage!! I have really been wanting one so this will be my excuse to get pampered.
