Catch up

I haven't posted in a few days and a lot has happened! Addie is laughing and making noises during the day now. Listening to her is one of my favorite things. I have some video that I will post sometime before she grows up...haha.

I think this is the cutest outfit. (Thanks Julie Summers!) She loves to smile, kick and stretch out!

Aunt KJ came to visit. I still just laugh at how different all of our lives are...

I piled up like 4 thick blankets since we don't have a rug yet (we are getting one this week or next week, hooray!). She and Charlie loved looking at each other. UNTIL Addie started to choke a little bit. So, I go over to pick her up and pat her back like I always do and she projectile spit up ALL OVER herself and me! Before I could get out the words "Oh my gosh," she did it again. For those of you who know me well, I hate to be dirty. All of this is taking place in the living room where we have pretty big windows in the front of the house and the back of the house. So, I stripped her down and I stripped down, I bathed her first and then I got in the bathtub. It was SO gross!

This Fisher Price bassinet is the greatest. It plays music and rocks back and forth. Addie just lays there and looks around if she isn't tired.

SO domestic

I have started (as of yesterday) cooking! I have made 2 chocolate fudge pies and tonight I made bowtie pasta with broccoli, turkey sausage and parmesan. It was really good! The easiest/best recipes are in Real Simple magazine...and they have all of their recipes on their website. I recommend it to those of you who are not Martha Stewart clones. Here is a picture of Addie helping me today.

Beach Baby

It was a nice day on the beach. The tops of my hands and feet got burned though!! Addie slept the entire time (except for when she ate). She loved the sound of the waves; it was better than her sound machine.

St. Patty's Day

We had another successful day of strolling, shopping and eating all along 30-a. I am a pro at feeding in the car now. Sadly, we lost another friend today...Dad met Stewart's parents in Pensacola and he headed back home with his parents. Now we are just down to the family; minus Andrew.

We ate at a

little pizza joint/bar where it was loud for dinner. We have decided that the more noise, the better for Addie. She loves it! Literally, she just sleeps. Of course I always have a bottle handy just in case she looks like she is going to cry. Here is a picture of us at the Cowgirl Kitchen tonight.

Who knew?

Mom, Addie and I went strolling all around Rosemary today, shopped and got coffee. It was a really pretty day; windy, but pretty. As you can see, we were sleepy this afternoon.

So everyone around us has been hit with either the stomach virus or a sinus infection...Sean included (sinus) and he is with us! Well, Addie has gotten a sinus infection. Of course we are out of town! I called our doctor at home and they told us to prop her head up, use infant nasal spray and suction her out. Long story short, there is only one nasal syringe that actually works...ours broke this morning. Dad has gone ALL over Florida buying nasal syringes. Do any of them work? Nope...so after calling every pharmacy in the area and racking our brains, mom said, "Why don't you call the hospital here." Not sure why we didn't think of that earlier but I called the local hospital and begged them to give me a syringe. I drove 25 minutes there, picked up the syringe, and drove 25 minutes back. In the future I will have an extra syringe!! It has been quite an adventure so far and it's only Tuesday!!

Outings

Addie and I got out of the house on Thursday and went strolling at the Renaissance! This is what she did the whole time...I, on the other hand, strolled into Barnes and Noble, got myself an iced caramel latte, bought some magazines, found myself a seat outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather! It was a glorious outing. I have mastered going places with the stroller...I highly recommend this stroller/carrier duo. A trained monkey could work it! (Therefore, it is easy for me...)

Mini Me

Addie might look more like Andrew but she acts just like me! Everyone used to make fun of the way I slept (I raise my hand in my sleep sometimes like Beanie in Patch Adams). Well...Addie sleeps the same way. No matter how you position her or how much you move her, she stirs, yawns and stretches without opening an eye and falls right back asleep. It's the weirdest thing! I love to watch her when she sleeps. She cries, laughs and makes faces like she is scared in her sleep but yet when she is awake she won't laugh. It's weird! She obviously knows how to laugh if she does it in her sleep but why won't she do it when she is awake?

Henry is here!

Little Henry was born today! He was 6 lbs 8 oz and 19.5 in long...with a head full of hair!! I will add a picture as soon as I get back up to the hospital. He looks exactly like Stewart did when he was born, he is beautiful. Amy Allison and Weston are doing great. Although she beat my time of delivery, I still have the time to beat for pushing. I'm so glad that she had an easy delivery this go-round and Henry is healthy. It's going to be so fun to have Addie and Henry so close in age...Addie's birthday is February 11th and Henry's is March 9!

I'm a mom...

I was quickly reminded how different my life is from my friends now. I was sitting in the rocker, feeding Addie and talking to Morgan on speaker phone. Well, she finished her bottle and we were just chatting when she projectile spit up on me and all over her! Yes, I am a mom...

Day 1 of blogging

We had a great nap today. I can't believe Addie will be 1 month old on Thursday!

I finally broke down and started a blog. I think it will help me keep track of everything that is going on and I will be able to look back on the progression of life! Since we got married, life has moved pretty fast!
